Marcelo “coldzera” David has officially been benched from the MIBR starting lineup. The teams coach Wilton “zews” Prado will be standing in at BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles following previous information coming to light about his wish to depart the team.
Now we know that the time for his move away from being an active member of the lineup is now. A TwitLonger from the zews officially announced “that Marcelo ‘coldzera’ David is no longer on the starting roster of MIBR and has been placed on the bench effective immediately.”
He went on to explain that coldzera approached the team expressing a “desire to be transferred” following the teams disappointing run at ESL One Cologne.
While coldzera did offer to play “out the remainder of the season as well as the next Major” the team ultimately decided that they need to instead focus on “rebuilding for the future.”
Furthering their desire to focus on the team, the TwitLonger states the teams new mission statement shall from this point forward be as follows:
“The collective is above any individuality or necessity that goes against it.“
With that being said, the coach expressed his thanks to coldzera.
“I would like to thank Marcelo for all the moments we have lived together. Good and bad moments alike. Our story is beautiful and has helped inspire thousands around the world. I will always look back on those moments and so many more with a smile on my face. I wish you tons of success on your next endeavor and hope you find happiness, wherever that may be,” he said.
zews will be serving as a stand-in while the team figures out their future and weighs their options.
