With ESL One Cologne in the books as a victory for Team Liquid, the North American organization now holds contracts to four of the highest earning players in CS:GO history according to esportsearnings.com.
Thanks to both their $125,000 first place prize and the Intel Grand Slam bonus of $1 million, Jake “stewie2k” Yip, Keith “NAF” Markovic, Nick “nitr0” Cannella, and Jonathan “ELiGE” Jablonowski have all jumped into the top 15.
The former Cloud9 Major champion stewie2k leads the pack at $917,790.00 and slides in at a remarkable 10th place. Only $23,000 separates him and sixth place held by Epitácio “TACO” de Melo.
This was a big jump for the remainder of the team who were all between 24th and 32nd just a week ago.
The team has the chance to make another jump as they are set to attend BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles, IEM Chicago, as well as the $1 million StarLadder Major in the coming months.
They’ll be gunning for the top spot which is currently held by Astralis’ Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth with $1,474,921.90.
Notable names now below a majority of the Team Liquid players (sorry Twistzz) include Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev, Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, Patrik “f0rest” Lindberg, Nathan “NBK” Schmitt, Filip “NEO” Kubski, Ioann “Edward” Sukharev, Jarosław “pashaBiceps” Jarząbkowski,
With a couple more trophies and a Major victory, Liquid could take a hold of the top spots, replacing Astralis in both era and earnings.
