The ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals are just weeks away and ESL has officially revealed the groups and opening matches.
The finals will have $750,000 on the line with the words best teams vying for their big check and a new trophy for the cabinet. The event is slotted to take place from December 3rd to 8th in Odense, Denmark.
The regular season standings, as well as the ESL global rankings, were used to break the sixteen teams into their respective groups.
Group A is ripe with top tier teams with the 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 7th, 10th, 15th, 16th, 26th teams in the HLTV rankings competing for a spot in the playoffs.
- Natus Vincere
- Evil Geniuses
- 100 Thieves
The second group appears a bit top-heavy with the world’s top team in Astralis and the 4th ranked team in Liquid being the most notable and only top 10 teams in the group. From there it drops to mousesports and G2 at 12th and 13th respectively. It will be a tough road for the remaining teams but there’s certainly potential in several of these lineups to grab an upset.
The group stage will begin with best-of-one matches before splitting into the upper and lower bracket where teams will compete in best-of-three series until the top six teams are set and move into the playoffs.
