fnatic has received the final invite to EPICENTER just a day after their finals appearance at StarSeries i-League Season 8. The Swedish lineup joins a cast including Evil Geniuses who hoisted the trophy yesterday in Belek, Turkey.

A much-improved fnatic was present in Turkey and will be a team to watch coming into EPICENTER especially with it being another event that both Team Liquid and Astralis aren’t attending. It’s a familiar team list with Vitality, Natus Vincere, EG and fnatic all being a part of the recently concluded event.

The event will take place in Moscow from December 17-22 and have a robust $500,000 on the line for the participating teams. This is an increase of $200,000 over last year’s prize pool. A total of eight teams will be in attendance with their eye on the prize.

The remaining three slots will be filled via qualifiers from the European, CIS, and Chinese regions.

Teams at the event will play through the group stage from December 17 to 19 before competing in front of a live audience at the Crocus Expo starting on December 21. The format has yet to be released for this year’s iteration of EPICENTER.

EPICENTER team list:

  • Vitality
  • Evil Geniuses
  • Natus Vincere
  • AVANGAR
  • fnatic
  • EU Qualifier
  • CIS Qualifier
  • Chinese Qualifier
