Following mousesports’ back-to-back victories at the CS:GO Asia Championships and ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals, it appears they’ll be playing with a stand-in at cs_summit 5. Niels-Christian “NaToSaphiX” Sillassen has been brought in to play for Özgür “woxic” Eker who was unable to acquire a visa in time.

woxic provided some details as to how they ended up in this position following the organization’s announcement. He stated that due to the team’s schedule he “wasn’t able to find time to apply for the US Visa” for the event. He goes on to say that the team got the tournament invitation while they were bootcamping for CAC and therefore mousesports were unable to sort it out.

NaToSaphiX had previously been a member of the Sprout and Heroic lineups but has been inactive since he was released by the latter. He’s been a player who has been floating around the scene for a while now and while many see the potential, he hasn’t quite lived up to the hype as of yet. A strong performance in Los Angeles will certainly help to raise his stock.

The fifth iteration of cs_summit will take place from December 12th to 15th at the Beyond the Summit house in Los Angeles, California. A total of $150,000 will be up for grabs.
