Boomers vs. Zoomers? That’s what Na’Vi is calling their upcoming show match presented by 1XBET. The match will see their current lineup in 2020 take on the Na’Vi lineup from a decade ago in 2010. The show match is scheduled for August 1st with Maincast broadcasting the event with both an English and Russian version. The series will combine a mixture of 1.6 and CS:GO maps.
The 2010 lineup was one for the books, dominating the Counter-Strike 1.6 scene during their reign but the worlds changed and this is a new game where the young bloods like Aleksandr “s1mple” Kostyliev have shown the world a skill ceiling we hadn’t seen before.
2010 saw Na’Vi or NAVI as they were known then take home titles at several events including IEM IV World Championship, ESWC, WCG, and DreamHack Winter which helped guide Yegor “markeloff” Markelov to earning his title of best player in the world in 2010.
Two members of that 2010 lineup have seen this firsthand in recent time with both Danylo “Zeus” Teslenko and Ioann “Edward” Sukhariev having played alongside s1mple.
While Zeus retired last year, Edward and Sergey “starix” Ischuk are still actively competing or seeking the means to. Regardless, this should be a fun series to watch and give long-time Natus Vincere fans a bit of nostalgia.
