The World Showdown of Esports (WSOE) is about to enter its second day of Dota 2 action and something rather interesting has popped up for the Team Serenity.
While we already know that Clinton ‘Fear’ Loomis is a part of J.Storm, one of the main challengers for WSOE #6, there will also be another TI-Winner on the cards to play at the event. It has come to light that Team Serenity, last year’s victors of WSOE #1, have made two roster changes.
The first change is fairly unconfirmed, but sources tell us that Xiao ‘Jixing’ Zihao, the team’s offlaner who joined late in 2018, has been replaced by former Serenity player, Xiao ‘XCJ’ Chaojian. XCJ was a part of the original Serenity roster back in 2017 and played with the Chinese squad through their victory at WSOE #1 before being replaced. He now returns to the squad as they seek to defend their title.
Jin ‘zhizhizhi’ Zhiyi will be the confirmed roster change for Team Serenity. After joining in January last year, zhizhizhi definitely made a name for himself as he showed off his impressive position one carry skills. However, his replacement is the International 6 winning Wings Gaming carry, Chu ‘Shadow’ Zeyu. After joining Team Liquid as a standin at The Chongqing Major, Shadow has been playing alongside Serenity in qualifiers and China tournaments.
With Shadow on the squad it will be interesting to see what Serenity can do and if J.Storm reach the grand finals, we have a TI-Winners clash to look forward to.
