Next DreamLeague tournament was announced, but it will most likely not be a part of the 2019 – 2020 Dota Pro Circuit Season. The organizers will take the event to a new country and run it during the debut of DreamHack Rotterdam.
DreamLegue Season 12 will take place at the Rotterdam Ahoy venue in Rotterdam, Netherlands, October 18-20, 2019 with a $250,000 prize pool. The dates along with the prize pool are strong indicators that the tournament will not be a part of Valve’s Dota Pro Circuit.
“We are very excited to host the 12th season of the Dota 2 tournament in Rotterdam Ahoy. It is the first time that such a major Dota tournament is coming to the Benelux. It fits our ambition to become the number one esports and gaming festival in our country. It will surely attract additional fans, the league is a great expansion for our event for which we earlier announced Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Tournament,” said Jolanda Jansen, CEO Rotterdam Ahoy.
This season, DreamLeague got to host a Minor and Major, but the first Major of the next Dota 2 competitive season was announced to take place November 5-9. However, there is no information as of yet regarding the first Minor of the next season. DreamHack is the second large tournament organizer to announce an event post TI9, after ESL One have booked October 25-27 for their return to Barclaycard Arena for ESL One Hamburg 2019.
