ESL One Los Angeles closed qualifiers continued today for the Southeast Asia region with four teams fighting for the three spots available for the region at the event, but unfortunately for Team Adroit, internet issues marred their qualifier.

Team Adroit looked amazing in the group stages of the ESL One LA qualifiers, dropping a single game out of eight and even registering a 2-0 victory over TNC Predator as they reached the final four. The team were set to face off against Fnatic – who had also had a great group stage run, for the first spot at the Major and it was set to be an epic series. However, unfortunately for Adroit, their internet service provider caused them major issues, meaning that they could not connect to the beginning of the series in time. Due to this, the team were forced to forfeit the first game of the series and moved to an internet café to make it in time for the second game. While they did manage to play the second game, they were continuously disconnecting and decided to cut their losses and call GG after only 18-minutes.

With that, Fnatic became the first team to qualify to the upcoming Major, while Adroit would have one last chance to reach LA tomorrow.

Geek Fam and IO Dota 2 would be the two teams facing off in the day’s final series at the SEA qualifiers. While IO had some amazing performances in the group stages, especially being a newly formed squad but Geek Fam just seemed far ahead in every way. It took only two games of the best-of-three series for GF to secure victory and thus place them into their first ever DPC Major.

In the Minor qualifier category, Cignal Ultra were able to take advantage of Lowkey Esports’ internet problems as they made their way into the fourth-place playoff against Reality Rift. However, Cignal were unable to withstand RR’s strength as RR moved forward to join TNC Predator and BOOM Esports in the StarLadder ImbaTV Season 3 qualifier – with one team yet to be decided.

Tomorrow will be the final day of the Major qualifiers where we will see if Adroit can leave their internet issues behind and qualify or if IO Dota 2 will be the ones to reach their first Major as a team.
