The 100 Thieves Call of Duty team hoisted the trophy in London this weekend after defeating eUnited. The CWL London event was the first Major victory for the organization and it earned the respect and congratulations of many.
While the normal crew of Call of Duty scenes finest sent their regards, 100 Thieves also received a shout out from someone I think everyone has heard of. Drake, the superstar musician congratulated the team via his Instagram story.
Drake has amassed an insane 56.8 million followers on the social media platform and they all just became familiar with the 100T brand.
This isn’t exactly the biggest surprise of course seeing as to how the global phenom is an investor in the organization. Drake and Scooter Braun were part of the Series A funding round that ended on October 23 and seemingly resulted in the two celebrities becoming co-owners of 100 Thieves.
Hoisting the first major trophy for the organization will have a special place in the hearts of all involved including founder, Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag, a former Call of Duty professional turned entrepreneur.
This was certainly a little icing on top for the proud squad and will be a story they’ll be telling their friends for years to come.
