San Francisco Shock acquired Boston Uprising DPS and hitscan star, Gwon “Striker” Nam-joo, in a transfer agreement. No details were disclosed, but given the lack of a trade, Striker’s contract was likely bought out by the Shock. Striker is set to be the 12th man on the Shock roster and the fourth DPS player.

Striker joins San Francisco Shock Head Coach, Park “Crusty” Dae-hee, who also served with the Boston Uprising up until the end of Stage 3 last year. Crusty had this to say about the acquisition in the Shock’s press release:
“Having worked with Striker last season, I am very excited for him to join the roster. He demonstrated excellence on stage during the first season and will be a great addition to the Shock family,” said Shock Head Coach Crusty.
Again, this acquisition puts the San Francisco Shock at a fully-fledged five-man roster. The Overwatch League begins on February 14th, 2019.
